Our research and development efforts are focused on areas of critical concern as the population ages and obesity becomes more prevalent. Our two main areas of interest are therapies for diabetes and approaches to the prevention and treatment of obesity.
A tremendous power in the market.
We have built a tremendous marketing, sales, and R&D infrastructure based on the performance of our blockbusters. This puts us in a very strong position to develop and market products discovered inside Bristol-Myers Squibb, or products that come to us at virtually any point in the lifecycle. We were also highly successful in the United States in co-promotion agreements with other pharmaceutical companies.
