Bristol-Myers Squibb Named a Working Mother 100 Best Company Company Cited as a Leader on Creating Family-Friendly Policies and Culture

Bristol-Myers Squibb has been recognized as one of the 2012 Working Mother 100 Best Companies – marking the 15th consecutive year that our company has made the list. In recognition of the achievement, Bristol-Myers Squibb will be inducted into the Working Mother Hall of Fame this year.

“This is a real honor, because we take great pride in our family-friendly environment,” says CEO Lamberto Andreotti. “We recognize the importance of a healthy work / life balance and strive to help our employees achieve it.”

At Bristol-Myers Squibb, U.S. employees have a range of choices – from adoption assistance and leaves of absence to flexible work options, child and elder care support and the LifeWorks resource and referral program. Working Mother honored our company and 99 others for these and other progressive workplace programs.

“This year’s 100 Best Companies are leading the way for the rest of the nation,” says Carol Evans, president of Working Mother Media. “They have created not only essential benefits, like flexible work options and telecommuting, but have also shown their commitment in new ways like elder care referral and legal assistance to help busy parents manage their personal lives as well as their careers.”

“These Best Companies know what it takes to keep all employees, but especially their employee moms, productive and engaged at work,” says Jennifer Owens, editorial director of Working Mother Media. “As the stress surrounding work-life integration continues to rise, so does the opportunity for creating a win-win environment for employees and employers. The Working Mother 100 Best Companies see the payoff from their programs and policies and are outstanding examples for companies to emulate.”

The companies are recognized in the October/November issue of Working Mother magazine, on workingmother.com and will be honored at the Work Life Congress, to be held in New York from October 8-10.
