Jean-Marc Huet
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Jean-Marc Huet is responsible for the company's worldwide finance operations, including Tax, Treasury, Control, Investor Relations, Internal Audit and Financial Shared Services. Jean-Marc is also responsible for our Strategy and Productivity Transformation organization, as well as Corporate Development.
Jean-Marc joined the company on March 31, 2008. His vision is to execute the company’s strategy of transformation into a leading next-generation BioPharma company. “We must build upon our leadership position today to make sure that we’re as strong and resilient as possible over the next five years. By being transparent, by being agile, by really focusing on our core competencies and our mission to extend and enhance human life, we will stand out from all the other pharmaceutical and health care companies.”
Previously, Jean-Marc was chief financial officer for Royal Numico N.V., Amsterdam, where he spearheaded Numico’s financial restructuring and acquisition strategy that led to a significant increase in market capitalization. Prior to joining Royal Numico, he was executive director of Investment Banking Services at Goldman Sachs International in London. Jean-Marc also spent several years at Clement Trading in Milan, Italy, as a commercial manager.
Jean-Marc enjoys challenges, both in his career and his personal life. His passions are skiing and motorbiking. “I love the mountains. My wife and I ski together and we’ve motorcycled through the Himalayas. It’s just a wonderful, wonderful way of life in the mountains.”
Jean-Marc Huet holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France, and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. He is married with two preschool children.
