Lamberto Andreotti, age 65, serves as Chairman of Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Board of Directors.

Andreotti first joined the company in 1998 as Vice President and General Manager, European Oncology and Italy. Since then, he has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, and in 2009, he was elected to the Board of Directors. He became Chief Executive Officer in 2010, a position he held for five years.

Under Andreotti’s leadership, Bristol-Myers Squibb has transformed into a leader in the biopharma industry – one known for its robust pipeline and portfolio of innovative medicines, one that has pioneered the increasingly promising field of immuno-oncology.

Before joining Bristol Myers Squibb, Andreotti held senior roles in other pharmaceutical companies, including Recordati, Farmitalia - Carlo Erba and Pharmacia.

Andreotti earned his Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Rome and a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Andreotti is a member of the Board of Directors of E.I. Dupont de Nemours & Co.
