Molecular Biosciences

In Molecular Biosciences we use biochemistry, structural biology, and high-throughput chemistry to create novel medicines for unmet medical needs. Our goal is to increase the speed of drug discovery, increase the quality of our drug candidates and increase the efficiency of drug hunting.

Molecular Biosciences
This area of science has evolved over the last 5-10 years from labor-intensive, low-throughput data and reagent generation to high-throughput, automated, parallel-processing of assays and data handling, resulting in effective and efficient prosecution of dozens of drug discovery programs at the same time.

At Bristol-Myers Squibb, we blend together the latest technologies in bioassays, robotics, information technology, chemistry, biology and biophysics to collect and disseminate knowledge across the drug discovery enterprise. “We are committed to providing the highest quality technology platforms and the most rapid and high-quality data generation, with a laser-like focus on discovering new medicines,” says Stephen Brenner, Ph.D., vice president, Molecular Biosciences. “We value scientific depth, life-long learning, teamwork, energy and the drive to succeed. We are proud of our ability to work in a company committed to applying the most modern science and technology to the most important medical needs.”

We work with exciting new technologies like robotics, high-content screening, computer-aided drug design and x-ray crystallography. We are innovative in our ability to capture the very best developments in academic science and technology companies and rapidly apply these methods to our drug-seeking efforts. We come to work every day because we care about patients, are excited about technology and we want to make a difference.

We are looking for people with backgrounds in engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, structural biology, protein chemistry, biophysics, assay design and execution, cell biology, and/or information technology, who are inspired by working in a team-based environment that applies state-of-the-art technology towards the improvement of drug discovery.
