  • The Plainsboro facility is located on 106 acres on Scudders Mill Road. The complex consists of three five-story office buildings situated around a large landscaped common area.
  • Floor layout within the building has been designed to maximize efficiency and provide an open working environment. Each floor is approximately 40,000 square feet in area.
  • The primary activities at this facility involve sales force training and administrative functions geared toward supporting the Bristol-Myers Squibb Sales Force.

Community and Social Progress
  • The campus was recertified in 2012 by the Wildlife Habitat Council’s Wildlife at Work program.
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb helped create a state-of-the-art community health center, which opened in May 2012 to serve uninsured and underinsured adults and children at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. In addition to meeting the primary care needs of struggling families, the clinic also will help those whose physical illnesses are complicated by depression, anxiety and other mental health issues through services such as individual psychotherapy, family therapy and addiction counseling.
  • A gift from Bristol-Myers Squibb helped create the Health Education Center at the Plainsboro Public Library, where patrons can learn about medicine and diseases and also take simple steps to protect their health by checking their weight and blood pressure.
  • In 2011, nearly 500 employees at the Plainsboro campus participated in Helping Hands Days of community service to support about three dozen local nonprofit organizations. Examples of Helping Hands Days projects range from serving meals at soup kitchens, rescue shelters or food banks to doing landscaping and painting at preschools for low income and disadvantaged families, senior centers and nursing homes to creating care packages for men and women stationed overseas in the armed forces.
  • Each year, hundreds of employees at the Plainsboro campus -- and many more at the company’s other U.S. facilities – participate in charitable events to raise awareness about serious diseases such as diabetes, cancer, HIV/AIDS and leukemia.
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb has helped the West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation enhance the quality of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District by supporting STEM mini-grants that encourage teachers to develop innovative, hands-on approaches to teaching science and technology. The company also sponsors the MidKnight Inventors robotics team at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North and South.
  • Each year, Bristol-Myers Squibb provides Confined Space Rescue Training for over 60 emergency responders in Mercer and Middlesex counties as part of the Mercer County Technical Rescue Operations Team.
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb provides access to our facilities for training operations for police K-9 teams and hands-on fire extinguisher training for local fire departments and associated agencies.
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb has provided gifts to help the Plainsboro Rescue Squad to equip its ambulance with medical supplies and to the Plainsboro Volunteer Fire Company to purchase and upgrade special service vehicles, including a brush fire truck.
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb has supported Plainsboro Founder's Day, an annual event celebrating the township’s history and cultural diversity, and also supports the Plainsboro Food Pantry and its annual holiday turkey drive.

Environmental Performance
  • Managerial efforts to reduce stormwater impacts include developing water use reduction plans that will ultimately reduce stormwater discharge. For additional stormwater information, see our brochure (1.67 MB PDF).
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb has been a member of the Wildlife Habitat Council since 1999. The Plainsboro facility, certified since 2004, has 78 acres as a mosaic of wetlands, upland forests, grasslands and wildflowers. An employee wildlife team works to increase sustainable wildlife habitat on the facility. The habitat program includes the management of a 40-acre grassland meadow at the southern end of the property. A ring of wildflowers was planted around the meadow to serve as a transition area. The wildlife team maintains and reseeds the area with native wildflowers that provide food and shelter for pollinators and birds.
  • Trails were created in the meadow area for employees to view the wildlife up close and enjoy the natural setting. Future plans call for installing observation stations and interpretive signs along the trail. A nest box monitoring program was initiated to collect breeding data and maintain bluebird, wren and kestrel nest boxes installed throughout the site.
    Recently the boxes produced 25 bluebird, 29 tree sparrow, four house sparrow and two probable kestrel fledglings
