Provide consolidated financial reporting and analysis for the Pharmaceutical R&D business unit.
Consolidate, analyze and report actual financial results on monthly basis
Provide variance reporting to VP Finance, R&D and Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis group.
Drive key financial processes, including operating budget and projections - (e.g., develop timelines, manage financial systems, coordinate with Corporate consolidated financials and run review meetings with R&D FP&A teams)
Support preparation of senior management presentations for quarterly closes, budget and projections
Act as a key point of contact for Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis group, Corporate Financial Reporting group, tax, treasury and Global Shared Services.
Prepare ad hoc analyses, support required R&D surveys and benchmarking analyses
Manage and track actual and projected items that will flow through Other Income and Expense
Manage the reporting of and projection of specified items
Support the reporting of the R&D Celgene integration initiatives
Ensure consistency of application of reporting principles among all operating groups
Maintain quarterly tracking file for value capture – actuals and projections
Support R&D reporting structures and hierarchies in SAP and Hyperion.
Provide oversight of the quarterly intangible asset review and ASC 606/610 quarterly contract asset review
Maintain quarterly process of milestone review for out-licensed assets
Coordinate quarterly memos
Integrate Celgene and BMS quarterly reviews
Facilitate the development of technical competency of the group
Maintain a full understanding of Corporate Accounting Directives and Internal Control Standards.
Assist R&D Technical Accounting and representative on Technical Accounting Network (TAN)
Facilitate resolution of accounting issues
Act as R&D subject matter expert on the Accounting Policy Issuance Committee (APIC), reviewing new policies and amendment to existing policies for impact to R&D.
Draft/approve BU policies and procedures
Research complex accounting questions and document conclusions reached.
Manage the R&D Restructuring Process
BS/BA or equivalent, MBA preferred
8+ years of financial auditing, consulting or operations experience with significant exposure to financial reporting, internal controls, technical accounting and Research & Development operations.
Knowledge of applicable GAAP, Internal Controls, and business laws and regulations.
