This role is responsible for contracting operations for IDNs, GPOs, Specialty Pharmacies and physicians, and supports field-facing team members in contract negotiations. S/he leads the evaluation and analysis of customer contracting. Opportunities and preparation of legally approved contract documents. S/he works closely with team, brand team colleagues, and those in Strategic Pricing & Value to ensure offers are competitive, legally compliant, and strategically structured to create value for both the customer and BMS. In partnership with the account team, s/he is the internal expert on assigned customers. With their team, s/he ensures contracts are structured to be consistent with brand strategy and support the latest pull-through efforts and value creating programs. S/he accompanies the RAE/NAE on contracting calls to represent the best interests of BMS in delicate contract negotiations.

Responsibilities (consistent across US):

• Conducts sophisticated analyses of potential savings for BMS with consideration of the customers’ perspective of contracted versus non-contracted revenue and works closely with the RAE/NAE and integrated customer team to evaluate appropriate options and strategies for leveraging additional value creating opportunities
• Balances customer needs with brand objectives to ensure deals represent the best interests of all parties• Provides direct customer-facing support for the RAE/NAE and integrated customer team in contract negotiations, including developing and presenting supporting information that enhances negotiation discussions

• BA/BS degree or equivalent

Summary

Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with critical stakeholders including thought leaders (TL), and other HCPs specializing in oncology, immuno-oncology, and pathology. The PDL will use various channels for interactions (1:1, group presentation; remote, etc).

Job Description

Understands and applies knowledge of health care industry, trends, applicable laws and regulations, market conditions, and the managed health care environment into business plans and in daily execution of sales calls within compliance guidelines.

Develops and implements territory plans that properly identify and prioritize activities to accomplish short and long term business plan goals.

Demonstrates clear and thorough understanding of disease states, BMS products and relevant competitor products, including their mechanisms of action, indications, efficacy, safety, etc.

Collaborates with territory matrix team on identifying opportunities and developing appropriate tactics and strategies

Builds and maintains strong professional relationships with physicians in private practice, medical group practices and or hospitals, office staffs and others in the patient care continuum.

Fosters team effectiveness and accomplishment of shared goals by sharing knowledge, experience, and information

Drives market share growth and maximizes sales performance within the indicated use and for the approved patients.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of 3 years of Pharmaceutical Sales Representative experience.

Demonstrated strong sales performance track record.

Demonstrated understanding of the business drivers, dynamics, regulations and managed health care within the pharmaceutical industry.

Demonstrated skills at building and maintaining professional relationships with key customers, office staff and others in the customer influence network.

Effectively use active listening, probing and other selling skills to enhance communication, build and influence key customers.

Demonstrated ability to analyze, develop and execute business plans.

Demonstrated ability to work in matrix teams.

Demonstrated track record of developing self to drive and enhance performance.

Infusions & injectable, the Buy and Bill office model and Medicare Part B Reimbursement is a significant a plus
