300+ employees from 33 nations will cycle to advance cancer research, celebrating 12 years of C2C4C

This year, more than 300 Bristol Myers Squibb employees will cycle to advance cancer research worldwide. Bristol Myers Squibb employees from every business unit and function representing a record 33 nations, including first-time participants from Greece, India and Singapore, will bicycle nearly 6,000 miles across Europe, the United States, Japan, and Latin America in celebration of the 12th year of C2C4C to advance cancer research.

“The reason that I am riding C2C4C is not that I am an avid cyclist. In fact, I am a complete novice starting from scratch. I am a lung cancer survivor and non-smoker. This cause is deeply personal to me,” said Kristine Creps, senior territory account specialist institutional, cardiovascular, from Ohio who will cycle from Denver, Colorado, to Topeka, Kansas. “Twenty-one years ago, I had just given birth to my youngest daughter and discovered I had a tumor blocking my entire right lobe.  I had a right upper lobe resection and now breathe better than ever.  Since then, cancer has continued to affect my family.  I lost my mother in 2013 to lung cancer and in 2020, my brother-in-law after his 10-year battle with multiple myeloma.  This is a lofty goal for me as a beginner cyclist, but I’ve faced challenges before. I am thrilled to be a part of this C2C4C effort to make a difference and raise as much money as possible for cancer research and development to fight this disease for my family and for yours.”

C2C4C demonstrates Bristol Myers Squibb’s long-standing commitment to cancer research and includes Country 2 Country 4 Cancer in Europe (September 5-22), Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer in the United States (September 5-October 1), Continent 2 Continent 4 Cancer in Japan (October 7-21) and Continent 2 Continent 4 Cancer in Latin America (December 1-9).

The C2C4C tradition began in 2014 when a group of Oncology employees in the United States were compelled to do more for those impacted by cancer.

To date, more than $19 million (USD) has been donated to cancer-focused nonprofits around the world to advance cancer research. This year’s charitable partners include the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and its affiliates in Europe, Japan and Latin America, and the V Foundation for Cancer Research in the United States.

For the fourth consecutive year, C2C4C Latin America will have employees cycling between Pucón and Puerto Varas, Chile in early December.



“This year we celebrate 12 years of this human adventure that is the C2C4C ride. UICC has been with Bristol Myers Squibb for most of this incredible journey, and we are very grateful on behalf of our members for the riders’ dedication and the company’s generosity in supporting cancer research and people living with cancer,” said Dr. Cary Adams, CEO of the UICC. “It significantly boosts our collective efforts to improve cancer outcomes and reduce disparities in access to care. We once again look forward to this year’s ride."

Country 2 Country 4 Cancer in Europe will feature employees from 19 countries including the first employee from Greece cycling nearly 2,200 kilometers from Germany to the United Kingdom.



Employees will train for five months to participate in C2C4C and volunteer their time to fundraise on behalf of the cancer-focused nonprofits.

“I am inspired by our colleagues in 33 countries who are participating in C2C4C and riding and fundraising to advance cancer research,” said Christopher Boerner, PhD, board chair and CEO, Bristol Myers Squibb. “For 12 years, C2C4C has embodied our patient-centric culture. For the riders and those they cycle for, C2C4C represents the power of perseverance.”

Among the more than 300 employees who are participating in C2C4C in 2025 are riders who are cancer survivors as well as those who are riding in honor of those who have lost their lives from cancer or are currently battling the disease.

The 2025 C2C4C riders are a diverse group of employees representing 33 countries including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Chile, China, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States. Employees from Greece, India and Singapore are participating for the first time in C2C4C in 2025.
