Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland announces new charity partnership with the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association
Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland is proud to announce the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) as its new national charity partner, following an employee-led selection process conducted as part of the company’s corporate charity partner programme.
This partnership marks the beginning of a new chapter in Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland's commitment to supporting communities across the country through fundraising, volunteering, awareness-building, and meaningful employee engagement activities.
The launch was celebrated during Global Patient Week – a Bristol Myers Squibb initiative marked by colleagues across 43 countries - when our Irish colleagues joined representatives from the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) for a Walk for IMNDA.
The walk provided a meaningful opportunity for both organisations to come together, mark the beginning of the partnership, and reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their families across Ireland.
Through this partnership, our colleagues in Ireland will have opportunities to support the IMNDA through fundraising initiatives, volunteering activities, awareness campaigns, and community engagement events designed to make a meaningful difference for individuals and families affected by MND.
Speaking about the partnership, Anne Marie Molloy, CSR Ireland Lead at Bristol Myers Squibb, said:
Since 2020, the Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland corporate charity partner programme has empowered colleagues across the organisation to help shape the company’s community investment and social impact efforts by selecting the charities that reflect their values, passions, and priorities. The programme sits at the heart of Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland’s corporate social responsibility strategy, bringing together people from across multiple sites to create lasting and measurable impact in the communities where they live and work.
The IMNDA is Ireland's primary care and support organisation for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), their families, carers, and loved ones. Through specialist nursing support, home care grants, counselling services, and the provision of essential equipment, the organisation works to ensure that nobody faces MND alone.
Kevin Burn, CEO, IMNDA added:
As Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland continues to strengthen its commitment to corporate citizenship, the partnership with IMNDA reflects a shared belief that collaboration, compassion, and community engagement can make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Together, Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland and the IMNDA look forward to creating positive impact, supporting people and families affected by MND across Ireland, and demonstrating the power of collective action to help make real change.
