Roles & Responsibilities
Analytics Delivery & AI Enablement
- Support the development and delivery of analytical solutions under the guidance of senior analysts and team leads.
- Apply foundational analytics, decision science, and AI/ML techniques to support ExUS Commercial initiatives across omnichannel engagement and measurement.
- Translate well-defined business questions into analytical tasks, execute analyses, and summarize findings.
- Perform structured root cause analysis (RCA) when metrics appear incorrect, inconsistent, or misaligned across sources or time periods.
- Investigate upstream data issues, including source system logic, transformations, joins, refresh processes, and business rules.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to analytical best practices across all deliverables.
- Partner with Data Engineering and BIT teams to resolve data issues and improve data reliability.
Stakeholder Support & Business Understanding
- Translate business questions into analytical approaches, queries, and analyses with guidance from senior analysts.
- Use SQL and Python to extract, transform, and analyze structured datasets to identify trends, drivers, and outliers.
- Support the development of dashboards and analytical assets that enable stakeholders to self-serve insights with confidence.
- Collaborate with ExUS Commercial stakeholders, BIA, OCx, Marketing, and BIT teams to understand business context and analytical requirements.
- Support the preparation of analytical outputs, presentations, and dashboards for stakeholder discussions.
- Clearly communicate results, assumptions, and limitations with guidance from senior team members.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine analyses and outputs.
Omnichannel & Commercial Analytics
- Execute analytics supporting causal inference of omnichannel tactics and content.
- Support the development and tracking of performance metrics related to omnichannel tactic adoption, engagement, and effectiveness.
- Assist in test-and-learn initiatives, A/B tests, and basic quasi-experimental analyses.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in data, escalating insights and questions to senior team members.
Technical Execution & Data Handling
- Build and maintain datasets, basic models, dashboards, and recurring reports.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and documentation of analytical processes.
- Work closely with Data Engineering and BIT teams to understand data structures and resolve data issues.
- Follow established governance, compliance, and documentation standards.
Team Collaboration & Continuous Learning
- Work collaboratively within analytics project teams to contribute to shared goals and timelines.
- Learn and adopt standard analytical frameworks, SQL patterns, Python coding standards, and visualization best practices used by the team.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, code reviews, and training programs.
- Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a growth mindset in strengthening analytical, technical, and business skills.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and data quality.
- Ability to recognize when something looks off in the data and systematically investigate root causes.
- Structured problem-solving skills and comfort performing root cause analysis.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analyses in simple, business-friendly terms.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and business concepts.
- Collaborative, proactive team player with a positive and professional attitude.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in life sciences, computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or engineering preferred.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in analytics, data analysis, decision science, or related roles.
- Experience working with structured datasets and performing quantitative analyses.
- Exposure to commercial analytics, marketing analytics, or healthcare/pharmaceutical analytics is a plus.
- Strong interest in applying data, analytics, and AI to support decision-making and business problem-solving.
Technical Skills (Preferred)
- SQL: Strong ability to write queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Python: Experience using Python for data manipulation, analysis, basic automation, and regression (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit).
- Data Visualization: Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for building and validating dashboards.
- Familiarity with collaborative or version-controlled analytics environments (e.g., Databricks, Git, SharePoint).
- Basic understanding of common data quality issues and their root causes.
- Exposure to commercial or operational data sources is a plus.

On-site Protocol
BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
