Position Summary
Reporting into the Senior Manager Benchtop IT Systems for the Leiden Cell Therapy Facility (CTF), the Specialist Benchtop IT Systems will provide IT support in our Digital Plant organization working to support, enhance, and maintain compliance for the GxP benchtop instrumentation as well as site and global applications used within the manufacturing, quality, and quality control organizations. This position requires a passion for IT, validation, and compliance. Project management and business analyst skillsets would be valuable within the role as the position requires the ability to work with diverse cross- functional teams in a highly matrix organization. The Specialist Benchtop IT Systems role reports to the Senior Manager Benchtop IT Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and enhancements for the administration of benchtop instrumentation applications, PC hardware, and IT administrative tools within a GxP environment. Support would encompass various instrument types such as cell-counters, plate readers, and flow cytometers throughout the site which include laboratory and manufacturing buildings.
- Provide ownership of assets and utilize BMS systems to support changes, incidents, problems, and asset management activities for the support of benchtop equipment and lab and quality systems, as well as provide on-call support, as needed, for commercial operations.
- Liaison with global partners within the BMS organization to align on solutions and implementation plans for benchtop instrumentation and performs system installations, configurations, administrative and support functions including system validation lifecycles and provide supporting activities within the quality management system (Infinity).
- Provide local administrative support and liaison with global partners for the site quality systems and quality control supporting applications completing tasks such as application periodic reviews, user access reviews, and account administration.
- Provide digital plant subject matter expertise (SME), to multi-function teams, advises operations on application configurations, data integrity, cyber security, and defend work before regulatory agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Familiarity with Data Integrity principles, GxP compliance, Software Development Life Cycle, and Good Documentation Practices
- Ability to understand and follow SOPs, cGMPs, and regulatory guidelines (FDA, EU) within a controlled environment
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a regulated, technology-driven setting Motivated, ambitious, and open to developing new skills—especially in IT, compliance, and laboratory systems
- Experience with lab equipment, IT systems, or process improvement is a plus; a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges are most important

This is a key role on the Shop Floor Quality Assurance team. As Manager, Shop Floor Quality Assurance, Cell Therapy, you will lead a team of 4-8 employees.
The Shop Floor Quality Assurance team is responsible for 24x7 Quality collaboration and oversight of site operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Quality Control laboratories, and Warehouse Operations.
This position will oversee and partner with operational teams to ensure compliance with Bristol-Myers Squibb policies, standards, procedures, and Global cGMP.
The Manager, Shop Floor Quality Assurance, Cell Therapy is responsible for quality activities for the Cell Therapy Facility in accordance with Bristol-Myers Squibb policies, standards, procedures, and Global cGMP. Functional responsibilities include ensuring operational compliance with applicable procedures and batch records, providing real time review of manufacturing batch record documentation and logbooks, and working with operations to resolve manufacturing issues.
The Manager, Shop Floor Quality Assurance role is stationed in Devens, MA and reports to the Senior Manager, Field Quality Assurance for the Devens CTF.
Shifts Available:
6am – 6pm, rotating schedule including holidays and weekends, onsite
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to ensure routine on-the-floor Quality oversight and to ensure collaborative triages of unexpected events within the Manufacturing, Quality Labs, and Supply Chain operational areas and systems.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of Cell Therapy processes to enable real-time decision-making.
- Advanced ability to synthesis information from multiple sources, interpret problems and effectively communicate to cross-functional management in a clear, brief, and accurate manner.
- Respond to complex/critical issues and build a consensus of understanding with subject-matter experts for product impact and justification to continue manufacturing.
- Serve as a subject matter expert supporting others to navigate the BMS quality management system including but not limited to deviation and CAPA action management, interim production controls, disposition decisions, and batch record management.
- Provide direction and timely guidance to QA shift-managers regarding the handling and resolution of cGMP events which may be a part of deviations, batch record exceptions, and other quality operational issues.
- Accountable for the performance/delivery of the QA field quality organization, including oversight of the “QA on-the-floor” systems and programs that enable the highest quality and the quickest delivery of QA cGMP tasks.
- Develop and implement standard-work for team-members that balances on-floor support for non-routine events, routine quality assurance work, and stretch/development project-work.
- Champion a culture that embraces psychological and physical safety of employees in the work environment.
- Champion a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement focused on defining problem statements, driving initial investigative efforts, and actioning solutions to reduce recurrence.
- Proactively identify and address quality risks and critical issues, drive mitigations with the aid of Field Quality Staff and cross-functional partners and escalate to senior management as needed.
- Lead walkthroughs with peers or QA team-members to identify and remediate operational or quality issues.
- Review and interpret the technical conclusions of a record/investigation and provide constructive feedback.
- Independently approve deviation records within the quality management system consistent with quality risk management principles and in accordance with process knowledge
- Regularly spend time coaching and mentoring operators and Field QA specialists while on the manufacturing floor.
- Interview, hire, coach, motivate, and develop exceptional staff. Set performance objectives and development plans. Monitor performance progress and conduct performance reviews for all direct reports.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to lead an on-site quality operations teams working a 6am to 6pm shift on a rotating 2-3-2 Panama schedule.
- Demonstrated experience with quality management systems for handling of records such as change control, product complaints, deviations, investigations, and CAPA management.
- Experience working in aseptic/sterile environments and/or in quality control operations focused on microbial controls and contamination mitigation strategies is preferred.
- Ability to research, understand, interpret, and apply internal policies and regulatory guidelines
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of several digital tools like MS Office, etc., and ability to learn and work with new software applications.
- Advanced ability to interpret data & results, understand complex problems with multiple variables, and articulate practical solutions.

- Ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment with limited information and/or time-constraints.
- Experience in FDA/EMA regulations in biopharmaceuticals or cell therapy manufacturing is required.
- Experience with microbial controls, lean or six-sigma improvements, or as a technical/scientific process engineer in the biopharmaceutical industry preferred.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field preferred. High school diploma/ Associates degree with equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- 6+ years of relevant cGMP experience, preferably with 2+ year of QA shop floor experience.
- Ability to work within pharmaceutical cleanroom environments.

Position Summary
- The Senior TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.
- The primary role of the Senior TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
- The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
- The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) – by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.
- The Senior TAS role is field based. A Senior TAS is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating in a balanced manner the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
- Engages with and continuously maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and successfully implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Proactively uses available tools such as CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights and to dynamically inform call plans. Provides feedback on experience using these tools to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and passion in using approved scientific resources and publications to present information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.
- Conducts in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discusses product-related scientific information with HCPs that is consistent with label.
- Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from list approved by Speakers Bureau and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
- Maintains a high level of working expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engages real-time medical support through Medical on Call to reactively answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Proactively collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gathers and shares relevant insights and information internally with the appropriate stakeholders to enable BMS to better serve its customers.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network via a customer-centric mindset and desire to create positive and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
- Experience in Neurology is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong capability in account management skill sets, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals.

PARALEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of US and foreign patent procedures.
- Monitors progress of patent cases and patent attorney/agent dockets through use of USPTO Patent Center, IP Management Software and Document Management System.
- Prioritizes current workload efficiently building on the ability to handle multiple heavy dockets and learning best practices to manage multiple tasks including managing outside counsel e-mail review.
- Reviews patent application files to check for compliance with USPTO requirements and BMS department standards.
- Knowledge and working experience of the USPTO Patent Center filing system in order to independently draft and prepare simple to moderately complex patent legal documents for submission to the USPTO including (but not limited to) patent applications, figures, sequence listings (ST.26), amendments, information disclosure statements (track IDS families and references, obtain references, prepare and file IDS 1449 form/SB08a forms), office action responses, requests for continued examination, notices of appeal, reply briefs, allowance checklists, allowed claims, issue fee payments, etc.
- Complete notice of allowance checklist, and prepare and file issue fee transmittals, review and proof issued patents, as applicable, prepare and files certificates of correction, review, and proof certificates of correction.
- Prepare, send, and track formal documents to inventors/clients for signature. Review and file/record with the USPTO.
- Provide assistance to attorneys with correspondences to worldwide foreign patent agents.
- Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations (Title 37) and the Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP), to enable ability to identify legal issues/problems based on knowledge of PTO procedures. Desired but not mandatory.

The Protein Homeostasis Thematic Research Center (TRC) at BMS is a fundamental Oncology research engine delivering oncology and hematology therapeutics to patients. The TRC has a major focus on exploiting BMS’ expertise in protein degradation to discover and develop therapies aimed at tumor intrinsic vulnerabilities and mechanisms of resistance to existing cancer therapeutics. This focus on protein degradation allows us to attack protein classes that were previously deemed undruggable.
The Pharmacology group within the Protein Homeostasis TRC at BMS San Diego provides in vivo pharmacology support to discovery teams focused on developing small molecules and biologics for oncology and immune-oncology. As an integral part of discovery programs, the group supports lead identification through in vivo model screening and mechanism-of-action studies, develops and validates animal disease models, identifies pathway biomarkers, and establishes clinically relevant endpoints to assess efficacy. Collaboration with DMPK, Exploratory Toxicology, and Translational Development is central to our work, and we contribute preclinical data to inform clinical development plans.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist with broad experience in pharmacology and drug discovery for both small and large molecules. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, taking responsibility for experiment design, planning, and execution. Key duties include interpreting and presenting in vivo data, conducting sample and endpoint analyses (ELISA, Western blot, Jess, qPCR, IHC), and preparing protocols and reports. The role requires independent work, technical expertise, and contributions to project decisions. Strong communication, self-motivation, innovation, flexibility, and teamwork are essential.

Develop disease models for oncology and immune-oncology
Independently design and execute in vivo efficacy and PK/PD experiments to identify drug candidates

Troubleshoot routine issues and recommend solutions
Evaluate endpoints from in vivo studies using Western blots, mesoscale, qPCR, etc.

Proficient in animal handling, dosing (PO, IP, IV, and SC), tumor cell inoculation, data collection and analysis

Hands-on experience in evaluating small molecules in animal models
Experience with small animal imaging modalities (e.g., Xenogen, ultrasound etc.) is a plus.

The Associate Director Stability is responsible for stability product strategy and oversight of product stability programs for commercial large molecules Drug Substances and Drug Products. Activities include those associated with product stability strategy, stability program requirements, stability sample management, preparation, review and approval of stability reports and regulatory filings.

Responsibilities
- The Associate Director Stability is accountable for the stability commercial program for large molecules Drug Substances and Drug Products.
- Accountable for new products commercialization and providing support to the sites or external manufacturing for new products commercialization.
- Serves as stability representative on project teams covering post-approval changes, designs and executes required premarket stability program in support of the change.
- Accountable for the handling of annual commercial stability program for assigned products in coordination with sample management group.

The Senior Manager, GMP Facilities provides leadership and direction to the 24/7 Facilities and Maintenance team supporting the Summit West Site Cell Therapy Manufacturing Operations. Maintain a collaborative and positive working relationship with our Integrated Facilities Management service provider and direct managed third-party providers to deliver best in class facilities support services.
Champion Safety by partnering with site and corporate EHS to develop and implement processes, procedures, and strategies to ensure that we are creating an environment and culture to keep our employees safe.
Utilize state-of-the-art data acquisition and analytical technology to drive asset performance while maintaining highly compliant facilities.
Broad knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Building Codes, OSHA regulations, and Industry Regulations related to the manufacture of pharmaceutical products.
Develops relationships with diverse groups across the client base at the Summit West site. Work within a team environment with other Site Engineering functions, including Plant Engineering in a matrix organization.
Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and local community and regulatory agencies to meet site and business requirements
Develops and monitors key performance indicators for utility operations. Drives appropriate actions to mitigate performance issues.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience managing the operations and maintenance of critical utilities supporting a manufacturing operation.
Experience with Quality Management Systems, specifically Change Control.
Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and local government officials.
Mastery of a technical function such as metrology or automation as well as pharmaceutical processes such as building systems, manufacturing operations, etc.
Specific knowledge of equipment reliability principles and processes as related to maintenance best practices.
Knowledge and experience in supporting cell therapy processes.
Knowledge and experience in the maintenance and operation of clean utilities such as clean room HVAC systems and Building Management Systems within a GMP manufacturing facility.
Working knowledge and experience with regulatory inspections preferably as an SME lead.
Fundamental understanding of the maintenance principles and requirements for electrical, HVAC, process heating and cooling utilities.
Experience leading a large team of multi-skilled trades within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience managing OPEX and/or CAPEX budgets.
Ability to manage or be an active team member of cross-functional project teams.
Must have a BA degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, OR equivalent experience.
Knowledge of BMS business objectives, strategies, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Understanding of regulatory, environmental, GMP, GLP and OSHA regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably Engineering. An equivalent amount of education, certifications and experience to be considered.

The Digital Plant Shift engineer will be an integral member of the Digital Plant team within Bristol Myers Squibb at the Devens, MA campus.
