The Manager I, FP&A Commercialization is responsible for the execution, governance and development of the Operations processes across BMS. Additionally, the Analyst III, FP&A Operations CIP must collaborate with process stakeholders, and peer process owners to ensure effective and efficient process operations, and identification and leverage of cross-process synergies.

The successful candidate for this role will be someone who can bring best practices to the role and who is skilled at analysis, innovation and continuous improvement of processes.  Key accountabilities will include:
 

• Financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes

• Driving innovation and data-based improvement of key processes 

• Creating an excellent internal and external customer experience  

• Nurturing a culture of collaboration and high performance  

• Accurately and candidly assess the performance of the areas they cover / impact 

• Working closely with business and process leaders / owners to develop and communicate strategies, define improvement initiatives and analyze their needs and successes, and collect feedback / analytics to drive continuous improvement 

• Creating a culture of financial discipline and operational excellence 

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience is required, preferably in an FP&A capacity. The position will be based in the BMS’s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person) with minimal travel expected. 

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:

FP&A activities 

• Performs FP&A Management Reporting activities for regional and senior management consumption

• Builds budget, forecasting and projections for the markets

• Provides effective analyses to clearly highlight key trends / variances and rationale

• Prepares presentations for budget & projection reviews; updates forecast templates as needed

• Prepares analysis of monthly actual variances vs. budget / projection in alignment with standard framework and templates

• Executes special projects, ad-hoc analysis to ensure highly effective outcomes

Process standardization and improvement

• Support Director, FP&A Operations, who is responsible for FP&A Operations processes and activities

• Support the development and execution of a global strategy for policies, processes, and technologies 

• Define and establishing consistent end to end process, KPIs and targets and intervene accordingly to drive results improvement 

• Collaborate with data owners / stewards to align on process and data issues 

• Propose management reporting forecasting improvement projects with a focus on delivering key business outcomes  

• Develop the business case for process improvement decisions, and tracks actuals against the plan to validate execution and improve future plans 

• Participate in process governance 

• Identify, design and incorporate industry leading practices into standard operations within the Hyderabad Hub necessary to identify, and raise / resolve issues involving tradeoffs, especially around cost, quality, and customer service 

• Maintain to a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization and foster a business-oriented culture; continuously monitor the needs of the business 

• Solicit feedback from internal customers, both operationally and regionally to determine the best response to continually improve process performance and year-over-year cost reductions 

• Ensure and continually validate operating procedures are established and documented to support execution, and are maintained to align with process changes 

• Ensure management reporting services are provided to the markets at competitive costs and leading service levels 

Relationship management and teaming   

• Collaborate with Corporate FP&A to ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures, and adjust processes to reflect changes required   

• Build and maintain relationships at all levels throughout the organization, specifically with Hyderabad Hub and global Finance leadership 

• Build an external network to ensure regular exposure to new and best practices, technologies, and process governance standards 

• Hold self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy   

Risk management  

• Anticipate needs, assess and manage business risk taking; escalate issues that may impact management reporting process globally; manage through times of crisis and ambiguity

Position Summary

Clinical Supply Chain is a function of the Global Product Development & Supply (GPS) group that serves Bristol-Myers Squibb’s global business units for clinical supplies by enhancing the customer experience through delivery of the right product at the right time in the most efficient and effective way. Strategic solutions aimed at optimizing our end-to-end Supply Chain and which align to where our stakeholders and customers are evolving, are critical in ensuring the highest levels of service in what is a rapidly changing environment.

The candidate(s) chosen for this position will become a valued team member of one of several cross-functional, multi-divisional teams which are responsible for developing and executing Clinical Supply Chain strategies for Bristol-Myers Squibb. Key Learnings will be based on the position and can include: Lean Six Sigma and Project Management tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, RACI, SIPOC), SAP, Tableau, Product Lifecycle Management, Program Management, Project Management, Communications, Change Management, Supply Chain and Global Manufacturing & Supply operations; Budgeting and Forecasting.

The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $21.00 to $25.00/hr. Please note that the final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record (and not BMS). Factors influencing this decision may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location of the job. Key Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of Supply Chain strategies at global network level or individual SKU level

• Learn, develop and leverage analytics tools to inform and recommend methods for continuous improvement

• Develop, execute innovation projects

• Develop/refine IT tools to enable data visibility and minimize manual tasks

• Perform demand & supply planning scenario, risk, and sensitivity analyses by brand and portfolio in support of planning and ad-hoc reviews

• Monitor and maintain material master data accuracy

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program with a minimum GPA 3.0

• Desired backgrounds include Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Pharmaceutical Business

• Must be enrolled in school the semester prior to the internship

• Must have strong analytical, project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be highly organized and can work in teams in a matrixed environment

Position Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the Technology Transfer and production of BMS CAR-T products for both global clinical trials and commercial supply and for supporting process validation activities.

They serve as the process SME, collaborating with SMEs from the Development, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, while providing key technical support during the technology transfer stage of projects.

The Process Engineer supports the resolution of process deviations, the evaluation and implementation of process changes and provides continuous improvement support to Manufacturing Operations to ensure rapid, flawless, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of quality products.

This position is based in Leiden, The Netherlands. Shift work may be required for this position. Occasional travelling for training purposes may be required

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Act as SME for processes being technology transferred into the BMS Leiden Cell Therapy Facility.
• Prepare for and own process validation activities.
• Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize the end-to-end process and anticipate and permanently resolve issues that may arise during production.
• Provide technical input and act as lead investigator for process related deviations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Author, review and approve the content of technical documentation (e.g. investigations, changes, SOPs and batch records, protocols and reports)
• Acts as SME and leads interactions on behalf of MSAT during production campaigns in both the shopfloor and Front-Line Support. Provide prompt input on resolution of events occurring during manufacturing. Responsible for troubleshooting.
• Support the change initiatives and the implementation of process improvement initiatives. Drive and own change controls and change actions and be responsible with MSAT impact assessments.

Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline.  Advanced degree preferred.
• Preferably 5 or more years of manufacturing support or related experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (preferably in MSAT, manufacturing or process development roles).
• Advanced Knowledge of facility/clean room design, process design or equipment, automation.
• Hands-on experience with single-use technologies, closed systems, or cold chain/cryogenic technologies.
• Experience with the start-up, process transfer or set up of the new manufacturing facilities.

The Manufacturing Associate II, Cell Therapy within Manufacturing brings enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, scientific rigor, and a desire to help drive novel programs. The incumbent must be goal-oriented, flexible, and able to work efficiently with safety and quality in mind, with a good understanding of good manufacturing practices to support routine manufacturing operations for Cell Therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Performing patient process unit operations and support operations described in standard operating procedures and batch records.
• Demonstrates strong practical and theoretical knowledge in their work
• Completing documentation required by process transfer protocols, validation protocols, standard operating procedures, and batch records.
• Performing tasks in a manner consistent with the safety policies, quality systems, and GMP requirements.
• Completing training assignments to ensure the necessary technical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborates with support groups on recommendations and solving technical and operational problems.
• Identifies innovative solutions
• Assisting in setting up manufacturing areas and equipment/fixtures. Perform facility and equipment commissioning activities.
• Training others on SOPs, Work Instructions to successfully complete manufacturing operations.
• Executing daily unit operations schedule that includes people, product, and material flow across multiple shifts.
• Work in a cleanroom environment and perform aseptic processing; maintain manufacturing environmental conditions (Non-Viable Particulate(s) and Viable microbial levels per controlled area classification
• specifications) by performing area disinfection regiment as required to meet global Health Authority requirements.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance applicable to biologics and cell therapy manufacturing is preferred.
• Driven and motivated individual to learn and execute Cell Therapy Manufacturing operations
• Must have the ability to work assigned shift (Day, Night, Weekends and/or Holidays).
• Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment and perform aseptic processing
• Must be comfortable being exposed to human blood components.
• Must be able to be in close proximity to strong magnets.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aseptic processing in ISO 5 biosafety cabinets, universal precautions for handling human derived materials in BSL-2 containment areas.

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma and 2+ years of experience in cGMP bioprocessing manufacturing, cell therapy manufacturing or relevant experience
• Bachelors in relevant science or engineering discipline and relevant experience is preferred
• Experience in cell therapy manufacturing, including Cell washing processes and automated equipment is preferred.
• Experience with Cell separation techniques and automated equipment and Cryopreservation processes and equipment a plus.

Working Conditions:

A. PHYSICAL /MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Stand and Walk - Required to stand/walk while operating manufacturing/computer equipment for several hours at a time, throughout the day.
• Carrying weight, Pushing, Pulling Lifting - Required to carry, lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds several times a day while handling production equipment and/or materials.
• Climb - Required to climb (use of stepladders in production areas, or stairwells) several times a day.
• Bend and Kneel - Required to bend or kneel several times a day.
• Overhead work - Required to perform overhead reaching during handling of production materials / files / supplies up to 25 pounds several times a day, throughout the day.
• Moving Head and Neck – Required movement of head/neck while using computer
• applications and handling of production equipment and materials several times a day, throughout the day.
• Twisting - Required movement of twisting waist while setting up equipment several times a day, throughout the day.
• Repetitive Use - Required repetitive use of arms/wrists/hands while setting up equipment and processing several times a day, throughout the day.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include, but not limited to: safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hairnets, gloves, and hearing protection.

The Role

BMS External Manufacturing is looking to recruit on a Fixed Term Contract (12 months) Senior Manager - Supply Chain Lead VPT, reporting to Director, Supply Chain - ExM DP Pack EMEA Operations. The role is based in Dublin Plaza 254.

The Supply Chain Lead for the VPT is the bridge / interface between the CMO and the wider BMS Supply Chain team.  They are accountable for ensuring effective communication of supply chain information to and from the CMO & VPT and within BMS Supply Chain. This role has a particular focus on execution of the BMS Artwork process within the BMS EXM packaging sites.

The Supply Chain lead is also accountable for driving Supply Chain improvements internally and with the CMO.

Based on your function, department or individual position, you will have the opportunity to discuss with your Manager the option to work remotely up to 50% of the time, over a two-week period, with the flexibility to choose the days that align with your collaboration needs.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate ongoing artwork variations tasks under Site Supply Chain responsibility, globally.
• Work closely and support Supply Chain Site Coordinator and VPT team to ensure on time and compliant artwork implementation.
• Work closely with Supply Chain Operations Manager to report issues/risks to be escalated in governance process.
• Coordinate / initiate problem solving discussion with stakeholders. Escalate through governance process if required.
• Record Final batch / Final batch date in TrackArt implementation plans.
• Anticipate need for implementation rule extension and communicate as appropriate.
• Initiate extension request form if implementation rule under Site Supply Chain responsibility cannot be met. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to get extension approved.
• Report challenges with system/process and make recommendations for improvements.

Other Duties and Responsibilities as Required:

• Maintaining/developing strong relationships with supply chain counterparts at CMOs and internal BMS stakeholders to facilitate continuous performance improvement.
• Participate in Virtual Plant team meetings, CMO face to face meetings & lead supply chain related meetings with CMO as required.
• Participate in BMS Supply Chain meetings as required to ensure alignment on BMS customer requirements.
• Point of escalation for Other Supply Chain functions including ExM Customer Planning, ExM Planning, ExM Logistics, Market Supply Planning and Inventory Control teams. 
• To prepare Supply Chain related topics for discussion at CMO business reviews and represent BMS Supply Chain at the relevant business reviews.
• Accountable for CMO supply chain metrics relating to Artwork.  Reporting of Supply Chain metrics to CMO, VPT & within ExM Supply Chain.  Generation of action items for VPT, CMO and ExM SC to resolve any performance levels below target. 
• Review of relevant CMO forecast for significant changes and communication of major changes & background to such changes to VPT and CMO. Communication of forecast to CMO.
• Determination of supply priorities through interaction with the wider ExM and Global Supply Chain teams as appropriate & communication of these priorities to the CMO.
• Understanding supplier capacity constraints in the short medium and long term, aiding resolution of these constraints & escalating to the VPT and BMS Supply Chain Management as necessary.
• Holding VPT accountable for continuity of supply & mitigation of risk to customer.
• Communication of any inventory risks to ExM inventory control and finance teams in a timely manner.
• For finished goods, support ExM Supply Chain with new SKU introduction (line extensions) to meet market requirements.
• Review of CMO related change controls to understand the supply chain impact, assigning relevant child actions.  Engaging with ExM planning teams to ensure potential supply restrictions are managed and mitigated. Aligning with Global Planning on the approach to management of any supply restrictions. 
• Proactively aiding in the mitigation of Back Orders and Anticipated Back Orders with the relevant CMO.  Ensuring continuity of supply from the CMO.
• To effectively communicate and coordinate activities to determine the impact of supply delays, quality events, line shut downs, projects (e.g. Serialization) etc on supply to customers (other CMOs or market) & engage with other Supply Chain functions as necessary.  Effectively mitigating the impact of such delays on supply.
• Effectively communicate, escalate and manage relevant stakeholders & implementing standard ExM communication tools.
• Execute scenario planning as necessary & engage with ExM planning to support scenario analysis as necessary .
• To coordinate gathering of required supply chain information for Fact Finding Investigation meetings and representing Supply Chain at the necessary meetings.
• Identify and drive supply chain improvement projects with CMO & ExM teams. Review current Supply Chain processes and streamline as necessary.
• Responsible for contributing to the ExM IBP process & Global Integrated Planning teams as required.
• Responsible for reviewing volumes for budget and projection & providing input into the drivers behind variances.
• To ensure that BMS Supply Chain requirements are represented in the contract with the relevant CMO and responsible for providing input into contract amendments/updates.
• Identification of Supply Chain related projects to be implemented which may require additional support & escalation as required.
• Participate in/lead projects as necessary.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Understanding of pharmaceutical artwork management processes
• Understanding of Supply Chain and Regulatory operations in a cGMP environment.
• An understanding of regulatory requirements and management of regulatory constraints.
• Knowledge of ERP, ideally SAP and SAP BW reporting, and related data analysis tools.
• Full understanding of BMS Supply Chain, products and markets.
• Strong Leadership Skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Detailed knowledge of Contract Manufacturing Supply Chain Operations.
• Ability to prioritise, organise and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
• APICS or related qualification
• 5years + Supply Chain experience in global manufacturing and supply environment, preferably in a similar role.
• Knowledge of  pharmaceutical industry
• Project Management qualification/experience is desirable.

• Persuades and negotiates effectively with stakeholders in being able to coordinate actions for achieving the desired outcome. ​

• Looks to improve processes, structures and knowledge within the team of Rapid Response. Leads in analyzing current states, delivers strong recommendations, and able to execute to bring moderately complex solutions to completion.​Engage with IT, Supply Chain and Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) colleagues in exploring cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
• Actively participate in various meetings with internal and external stakeholders in driving timely closure of project and support activities.
• Ensure timely resolution of outstanding tickets (bug-fixes, enhancements) as per the SLA guidelines.
• Monitor and provide system support ensuring system operates under the service level agreement around availability, performance, accuracy & reliability.
• Perform unit and integration tests and assist with user acceptance testing.
• Provide system training on new capabilities to the business stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• 12+ years of experience on advanced planning systems as System Architect, Business analyst, consultant in Maestro -Rapid Response Application.
• Advanced understanding of demand, supply and S&OP business processes.
• Experience with developing, implementing or supporting supply chain planning solutions (esp. Kinaxis Rapid Response – Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, S&OP, Inventory Optimization Techniques etc.,).
• Bachelor’s Degree in technical engineering, science field or related discipline is required.
• Some experience with supply chain planning algorithms such as Heuristic and Optimizer.
• Exposure to data integration technologies (such as Talend) with SAP-ERP and other non-SAP systems.
• Agile and critical thinker with a passion for innovation and learning new skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to strategically collaborate and influence in the defined area of scope.
• Ability to easily navigate through multiple tasks and initiatives.
• Ability to balance strategic awareness & direction setting with consistent tactical results
• Good planning, problem solving, analytical, time management and organizational skills
