Bristol Myers Squibb earns Great Workplace recognition

Bristol Myers Squibb was one of 128 companies honored by the Great Place to Work® Institute during the Best Workplaces in Europe 2018 awards ceremony held in Athens in June, 2018. 

BMS Cruiserath, the company’s biologics plant in Ireland, was one of five Bristol Myers Squibb markets awarded the Great Workplaces in Europe award.

Five Bristol Myers Squibb European markets shared the award, which is bestowed on companies that demonstrate a commitment to caring for their employees, and providing environments where employees can cultivate strong bonds.

Ranked 14 out of 30 in the competition’s multinational category, Bristol Myers Squibb qualified for the Best Workplaces in Europe award following individual Great Place to Work® country awards for BMS Austria, Denmark, Norway, BMS Ireland’s Cruiserath site, and BMS Switzerland’s GCH and Commercial organizations.

To determine the European level awards, the Great Place to Work Institute assessed 2800 companies, representing 19 different industries and 1.6 million employees across Europe. 

Simply the Best

In other award news, Bristol Myers Squibb’s global procurement organization was one of 19 companies honored in May during the World Procurement Awards ceremony hosted by Procurement Leaders,™ a global professional procurement network, of over 700 leading corporations.

“Simply the best” is the way Bristol Myers Squibb’s procurement organization was described at the ceremony, which capped a three-day gathering of 850 procurement experts from around the world. Procurement Leaders™ also called out Bristol Myers Squibb’s three key principles – focus, simplify and integrate – as key to the company’s success.
