From Australia to Argentina, China to Canada, Belgium to Brazil and beyond, more than 300 Bristol Myers Squibb employees participated in C2C4C in 2025 representing a record-setting 33 nations and covering more than 6,000 miles.

The company’s 12th year of C2C4C, a global bike ride to advance cancer research worldwide, consisted of four C2C4C rides in the United States, Europe, Japan and culminated this week in Chile with Continent 2 Continent 4 Cancer (C2C4C) Latin America.

Employees from eight nations participated in the fourth edition of Continent 2 Continent 4 Cancer Latin America.

Together, the riders and Bristol Myers Squibb are projected to donate more than $2 million (USD) from the 2025 events to advance cancer research worldwide via cancer research charities including the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and its Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America cancer organizations. To date, the C2C4C rides have generated more than $21 million for cancer research worldwide in 12 years.

“C2C4C is a true illustration of how the dedication and compassion of our Bristol Myers Squibb colleagues worldwide brings our patient-centric focus and purpose to life each and every day. C2C4C is so much more than a bike ride” said Wendy Short Bartie, executive vice president, Corporate Affairs. “For a dozen years, C2C4C has unified and mobilized our global team around our collective mission to transform patients’ lives through science.”

Bristol Myers Squibb employees bicycled over bridges, through tunnels, up mountains and on highways and trails around the world in diverse locations and landscapes including Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Girona, Spain; Tokyo Bay, Japan; and Pucón, Chile. They cycled with cancer patients including family, friends and colleagues top of mind bringing to life our commitment to a patient-centric culture that goes well beyond day-to-day job responsibilities.

Employees from 19 nations cycled in Country 2 Country 4 Cancer Europe.

“My diagnosis has taken me and my family on a path we never expected, filled with unknowns and uncertainty. That path has also been paved along the way with the breakthroughs that continue to offer us hope,” said 2025 C2C4C rider and brain cancer survivor Jerry Thomas, principal scientist, Biotherapeutics Polyreactivity & Developability, from San Diego, California. “More than seven years later, I’m exploring new territory that I didn’t think possible including participating in C2C4C, and I will continue to get on the bike and pedal uphill into the mountain because there is lots to be discovered.”

C2C4C returns for its 13th year in 2026. The 2026 C2C4C ride dates are Europe (September 4-21), United States (September 10-October 7), Asia Pacific (October 6-20) and Latin America (December 1-9).
