Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff to the CEO
Peter was named chief of staff to the CEO in May of 2023 and plays a strategic role in driving enterprise-wide initiatives. Peter joined Bristol Myers Squibb in June of 2021 as senior vice president, Worldwide Commercialization Strategy & Capabilities and served as chief of staff to the chief commercial officer. He serves as the executive sponsor of the Disability Advancement Workplace Network (DAWN) People and Business Resource Group.
Peter has over 25 years of experience in the life sciences. As a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and ZS Associates, he advised global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies on strategic and operational issues across a wide variety of therapeutic areas. Peter held a marketing leadership role at Centocor, now part of Janssen. He also practiced law at the international law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath, where he represented pharmaceutical, banking and manufacturing companies in commercial disputes and government enforcement actions.
Peter received a BA in English literature from Princeton University, an MA in jurisprudence from Oxford University and a JD from Vanderbilt Law School.
